We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Family Support Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating group support services, managing volunteers, offering family support, and ensuring equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work. They will work closely with the Home-Start team to uphold our commitment to safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate group support services for families, including organising activities & providing guidance.
• Manage volunteers and ensure they are supported and trained effectively.
• Offer family support, including conducting assessments and providing guidance as needed.
• Work alongside the Home-Start team to ensure equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work.
• Implement good safeguarding practice and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other organisations and agencies to provide support to families.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to family support activities.
• Attend regular meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working with families and children in a support capacity.
• Strong understanding of equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.
• Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of families and the organisation.
